2021 gold art exhibition and competition

After two years of preparation and a final presentation, the 2021 Nature and Art – Global Art Competition to Support Biodiversity by Excellent Portfolio was successfully launched through the joint efforts of more than 100 team members, volunteers, environmental advocates, and artists. The event inspired broader public participation in addressing global climate change and protecting biodiversity through environmental art initiatives. Co-sponsored by the UNESCO World Youth Academy of Art, this global competition received extensive coverage from both national and international media.

2021 competition was started by making and posting the poster

The poster served as a public announcement for the competition and was distributed through various channels, primarily targeting children and art students.

A workshop was organized to better acquaint participants—especially younger children—with the theme

The competition received nearly 10,000 submissions from China and abroad, with enthusiastic participation from the United States, France, Britain, Italy, and Canada. The organizing committee invited members of the Yunnan Artists Association, experts from the Arts Committee, as well as renowned artists and scholars to serve as judges. After two weeks of intense deliberation, the judges narrowed the submissions down to 6,000 works. The results were then announced to the public, and each selected artist was notified. The winning organizations were also formally recognized. In addition, the organizing committee prepared a limited-edition commemorative gift for participants. The winning artworks were collected and published . Further details can be found in the press publications listed below.
